CRUCIFIXION: CORPUS HYPERCUBUS.
The two dimensional square is to the three dimensional cube what the cube is to the four dimensional hypercube. The tesseract is a net of a hypercube. This painting formed part of Dali’s Nuclear Mysticism series. He was of the opinion that the opposing forces of science and religion can in fact coexist. He is not alone in coming to this conclusion. Religion makes little sense without understanding the science that underpins it.
