IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD:

July 13, 2024

From right to left; The creator god Ptah, his consort Sekhmet, and their son Nefertem, sacred triad of Memphis, first nome of Lower Egypt.

As the creator God, architect of the universe and other gods, Ptah was patron of architects, master craftsmen, sculptors, artists, painters, and carpenters, he was also the inventor of masonry.

Ptah was said to have first imagined the world in his heart and then brought it into being through his speech, breath, Word. He spoke the world into existence and used his voice to breathe life into creation.

The god Knum created animals and humans on his potters wheel, and Ptah in turn created Knum. The name of Egypt derives from Ptah.

It is not difficult to see how the Father God of Genesis was based on the original architect of the universe that used the Word to create. Even creating humans from clay traces back to Knum. Jesus is also referred to as the Logos/Word in the Gospel of John.

In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to humanity. John 1 v 1-4.

The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son. John 1 v 14

The heart influences the mind through pure intention, which in turn is spoken out loud and followed by action/manifestation. Heart, thought, word, deed.
