Mercury or Hermes, messenger of the Gods, carries the caduceus symbol as he transverses the heavens. Both Moses and Jesus can be directly connected to Hermes through Nehusthan and the Crucifix. They delivered messages to the people from God, and Jesus was crucified for doing so. He was accused of claiming to be God and killed, or was it because he was claiming that everyone were gods, ‘Ye are gods’? 

The planet Mercury is closest of all celestial bodies to the sun and in this role can be seen to convey the messages/frequency of God/Sun to earth. Many if not most of the symbols and stories found in the holy books have a Stellar origin. We are best served not to take everything as literal, but search instead for the deeper meaning in the symbols we come across on our journey into the great unknown.
