Three tracts of Rosicrucian Manifestos were published between 1614-1617, a precursor to the 30 years war (1618-1648), the deadliest conflict in Europe before the World Wars.
The founder of the Rosicrucians, a mysterious figure called Christian Rosenkreuz, was said to have lived during the 14th century. A sage schooled in the secrets of Pythagoras, the Sufis, Egyptians, and many other mystery traditions, yet, the Chymical Wedding of CR, is unmistakably Christian.
The symbol of the rose and cross is filled with meaning that can be interpreted on many levels. The rose is feminine and the cross masculine, a different representation of the idea contained in the hexagrams upward and downward pointing equilateral triangles. It represents the union of our lower temporal nature with our higher eternal nature. The physical is not rejected in favor of the spiritual. The rose symbolizes humanities unfolding consciousness in the earthly plane, the cross. Heaven on earth. It also represents the Philosopher’s Stone.
The Rosicrucians can be connected to the Knights Templar, Hermeticism, and Kabbalah, that came before them, and the Invisible College and Freemasonry that came after them. In the 2nd Manifesto, Confessio Fraternitatis, a revolution of society is both promised and predicted.

The Thirty Years War temporally stopped this movement, but by 1660, the Invisible College gave birth to the Royal Society and the Scientific Revolution. Freemasonry and the Enlightenment followed soon after and led to the American and French Revolutions. The Divine Right of Kings was slowly replaced by the divine rights of everyone.
The Church and Monarchy lost their stranglehold over the minds of the people, and have tried ever since to regain their position and power. Propaganda has been used to great effect to confuse the masses and hide the truth. They demonize certain groups because they fear the knowledge they discovered in, and about the Bible.
A Universal harmonic science and language of sacred geometry, mathematics and astronomy. A language that has been expressed by cultures in architecture and art across the world. The Bible is the missing piece in a global puzzle. Instead of the Bible standing apart because it is somehow special or superior, it forms part of a tradition predating the holy book by thousands of years.
Much is made about the search for knowledge and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, the original sin. Yet the Bible itself is filled with forbidden knowledge, an almighty paradox indeed.
