MANOSPHERE OF FEAR:

October 19, 2024

Hypatia of Alexandria (360-415) was a prominent and respected philosopher, astronomer and mathematician. She was stripped naked by an angry mob of Christians, her limbs torn from her body, flayed, and they even went as far as burning her bones, the ultimate insult.

After Christianity was declared the State religion of the Roman Empire in 380 AD, things quickly spiralled out of control. A once tolerant, eclectic, and syncretic society became a monoculture almost overnight. From Neoplatonism, Stoicism, Neopythagoreanism, Gnosticism, the Egyptian mystery tradition, Hermeticism, Mithraism, Zoroastrianism, Arianism, the Chaldean Oracles, and Buddhism, to only Nicene Christianity.

Christians insisted on their way being the only way and either closed or destroyed all pagan temples and schools. The Great Library of Alexandria and the Serapeum were destroyed by Roman soldiers in 391 AD, a precursor to the fate that awaited Hypatia a mere 25 years later. Hypatia was loved by both Pagans and Christians and the brutality of her death sent shockwaves through the Empire. Although the Great Library of Alexandria suffered from multiple destructions during its 700 years of existence, the damage done by Pope Theophilus of Alexandria in 391 was fatal.

The Platonic Academy survived until Emperor Justinian finally closed its doors in 529 AD, bringing an end to more than a thousand years of philosophical and scientific discovery. The Dark Age of Christendom had finally arrived. Hypatia represented the very worst of the worst, an intelligent woman. All the prejudice and hatred projected onto Eve as the supposed reason for the Fall, came full circle with the barbaric manosphere of fear Instilled by the Church.

This hatred of knowledge was only rivalled by the hatred of other spiritual paths, and of women in particular. Christians had a choice to make. Behave like the Roman emperors that acted like monsters, or behave like Christians that followed the path of Christ. They chose tyranny.

The violent subjugation of the pagan tribes. The ferocious appetite for conquest during the Crusades, even killing fellow Christians. The Albigensian Crusade, the arrest, torture, and execution of the Knights Templar. The Unholy Inquisition, the witch trials, the burning of scientists, philosophers, and heretics.

The Wars of Religion fought between the 16-18th centuries, were the most deadly wars in Europe until the World Wars of the 20th century. Let’s not forget the abuse of hundreds of thousands of children by pedophile priests.

It was only during the Enlightenment and Age of Reason of the 18-19th centuries, that the church lost some of its power. From 391 AD to 1789, a period of 1498 years, the church dominated society. It is this loss of power that is the root of the problem in our current political climate. They want their power back, and the best way to achieve this goal is by manipulating men. The manosphere is an echo chamber of insecurity, misogyny, and self loathing. Men are being taught that all of their perceived problems are the fault of women.

They are encouraged to engage in hateful rhetoric, which will lead to violence in the future. Instead of being taught to respect and honour women as equals, they are being taught to dominate and mansplain. Most of, if not all of these false ideas are found in their religious scriptures. Eve was weak, Mary Magdalene was a whore, Hypatia deserved to be ripped apart, limb by limb.
