SUBMISSION IS A CONDITION
‘Wives submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church; and as Christ is himself the Saviour of the church, his body. And so wives must submit completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ.’ Ephesians 5:22-24.
Almost 2000 years after Paul, not Jesus, supposedly uttered these words, the condition of submission has returned with a vengeance. Many people it seems, both men and women, prefer to be ruled with a rod of iron. They long for a Monarch/Messiah to save them from the enemy within, any person that chooses multidimensionality over monotheism. Multiculturalism over monoculture.
The American election wasn’t decided on issues like immigration or the economy. The main reason was without a doubt the Devil and his evil minions. People are convinced that we are living in the End Times and that the election was a battle between the forces of good and evil.
Some even suggest that abortions are akin to human sacrifice and the cause of hurricanes. A famous personality appeared on a podcast and claimed to have been attacked by demons while asleep. He even said they left claw marks all over his upper body. The fascinating aspect was not about demons, but the fact that he shares his bed with his wife and FOUR dogs. Not once did it occur to him that dogs have claws, 16 paws of claws.
No, the culprit was a demon. Truth is dead on so many levels that one wonders if it will ever re-emerge. The concept of Maat represents truth and equilibrium in ancient Egyptian religion. Truth has not only been replaced with lies, but with fear and loathing. Hate is embraced instead of love, yet the Bible teaches that God is love. Jesus commanded us to love one another, a concept that seems so remote that its almost otherworldly.
People want vengeance. They desire retribution. They have been conditioned to not only expect it, but to embrace it. The final battle when Satan will forever be damned along with all of his followers. The Jesus of Revelations is a Warrior Christ, the hero that saves the day and fixes everything that’s broken in the world. Instead of taking responsibility for the mess of our own collective creation, we blame the ‘other’ for all of our problems, the Devil in this case.
Don’t forget that it is Eves fault. Women are ultimately to blame for it all. There is much work to be done.
No introspection. No honest reflection. No true communion with the Divinity within or without. We are in for one hell of a ride. Careful what you wish for.
