RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE: Connect the dots. Many people have bought into the idea of Fake News and Big Media, yet surely one can discern if a story is merely relaying local or global events? Of course we don’t just swallow the news hook, line, and sinker, but to completely discard it as Fake is Folly.
19/2/2025 MIAMI (AP) — President Donald Trump’s media company sued a Brazilian Supreme Court justice on Wednesday, accusing him of violating U.S. free speech protections when he imposed a ban on a right-wing supporter of the country’s former President Jair Bolsonaro. The lawsuit in Tampa federal court was filed just hours after Bolsonaro was charged in Brazil for participating in a would-be coup aimed at allowing him to stay in office after his 2022 election defeat to current President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The plot, prosecutors allege, included a plan to poison Lula and shoot dead Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, the main judicial foe of the former president.
The lawsuit in the U.S. was brought by Sarasota, Florida-based Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates the Truth Social media platform preferred by the president to communicate with his followers. It was joined as a plaintiff by Rumble, a video-sharing platform that partners with Truth Social and fashions itself a safe harbor for free expression. –
NOTHING TO SEE HERE: So let’s connect the dots. The sitting President of the United States gets involved in Brazilian affairs on behalf of Rumble, the same company that hosts Truth Social and is connected to militant Catholic venture capitalist Peter Thiel. Not to mention X being banned for refusing to comply with Brazil’s hate speech laws. Nothing to see here. Apart from the serious accusation that former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro planned on poisoning his opponent and killing a Supreme Court judge. The accusations are much worse still. He tried to get the military to help him stage a coup, and his supporters ended up storming the seat of government in Brasilia on January 8, 2022, one year after Trump incited his supporters to do the same on J6.
Don Junior and other MAGA influencers even travelled to Brazil, engaged with Bolsonaro’s sons, and Bolsonaro himself was given a safe space in Miami. Andrew Tate and his brother have just been granted the same courtesy. Jair eventually had to return to Brazil to face the throbbingly loud music.
People say, you are over exaggerating, fear mongering, all kinds of cynical excuses to avoid the facts. These people are not afraid to use violence to achieve their political ambitions, that’s a fact. All we have to do is study history, in particular of Brazil and the Dirty War that was waged as part of the Cold War. Far-right Christian fascist governments across South America were propped up to fight a very dirty war against the threat of Soviet influence, atheism and communism. God and Gold could obviously not allow such a thing to happen, same as today. Jair Bolsanaro was a Captain in the military junta that ruled Brazil in the 1980’s.
This war started as far back as General Franco in Spain. He was allowed to continue ruling Spain even though he joined Hitler and Mussolini. Why? To ensure Christianity remained in charge of global affairs. Same happened in Chile and Argentina. Tons of Nazis were given safe haven in South America, and many others settled in North America as part of Operation Paperclip. Although the liberal world order was established almost 80 years ago, there has always been an underlying tension between religion on the one side, and human rights and progress on the other. For decades these two forces worked together to ensure that some form of stability prevailed across the world. Republicans could justify the War on Terror based on religious conviction, and Democrats could justify it based on defending human rights.
The problem with this fragile alliance, is that it is over. Religious intolerance regarding human rights supersede the need to join forces, particularly when the one side is more prone to violence than the other. What has happened is the malicious labeling of liberal ideas as being akin to Communism, Marxism, Atheism, and Socialism. The left leaning folk are now the enemy, that’s why the Brazilian President tried to stage a coup. It goes even further still, the Neo Dirty War is being portrayed as good vs evil, God vs the Devil, an apocalyptic fight to the death.
America is aligning with Russia against Europe because of these insane projections, prophecies, and just plain superstitious lunacy.
Why do you think the Apartheid government was allowed to rule South Africa with an iron fist? To literally protect the gold and diamonds and keep the grift going, religion has always been the excuse used to mask their true intentions, money and power. A big part of the problem between America and South Africa playing out at the moment is the overwhelming desire for true justice, not blind justice that favors the wealthy and powerful. 80% of black South Africans own 4% of the land, 30 years after the end of Apartheid. The same applies to Palestine. Everybody can see that the dynamic it is unfair, inhumane, and unjust.
As soon as people ask to be treated with respect, they are branded as problematic. Civilized nations acting like barbarians because they feel entitled to preach but not practice. The system is indeed rotten to the core, why do you think they are doing all they can to fill the swamp, not drain it?
UPDATE: 26/3 – Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro should stand trial on charges related to an alleged plot to overturn the 2022 election results, the country’s Supreme Court has determined.
Bolsonaro was among 34 people charged last month with five crimes, including attempting a coup d’état. Part of the coup plot, prosecutors allege, involved a plan to potentially assassinate elected President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, his vice president and a minister of the Supreme Court. Bolsonaro has denied wrongdoing.
The court on Wednesday decided in a simple majority vote to accept charges against eight of the accused, including Bolsonaro, his vice presidential candidate and other military and political leaders. The vote will be final when all judges have cast their votes.
The court will decide the fates of the other 26 people later on.
Prosecutor-General Paulo Gonet had argued before the court on Tuesday, the first day of proceedings, that there was enough evidence to move the case to a trial. He claimed that the accused had formed a criminal organization to “generate reactions that would guarantee their continuity in power,” regardless of the result of the 2022 election.
“They all accepted, encouraged and carried out acts that are classified in criminal legislation as an attack against the existence and independence of the Powers and the Democratic State of Law,” he told the court.
Gonet alleged that the coup attempt began in 2021, during Bolsonaro’s presidential term, and culminated in the riots of January 8, 2023, when Bolsonaro supporters stormed and vandalized the three seats of government in Brasilia to reject the 2022 election results.
In 2022, Bolsonaro met with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives to discuss the accusations of voting fraud, in what the Attorney General’s Office said was “an attempt to prepare the international community for disrespecting the popular will in the presidential elections.”
Despite finding no evidence of election fraud, the defendants allegedly continued their campaign to discredit the electoral system, according to prosecutors.
They also allege that Bolsonaro approved a plan to carry out the coup, and that the last attempt to overturn the election happened during the riots of January 8, 2023, which prosecutors claim were encouraged by the defendants.
If found guilty, Bolsonaro could potentially face up to 28 years in prison, according to CNN Brasil.
In 2023, Bolsonaro was banned from public office for eight years after a separate investigation into alleged abuse of power found him guilty of spreading misinformation about the integrity of the Brazilian election apparatus to foreign governments.
