TO ANOTHER: I’ve been patiently biding my time, waiting for the opportunity to talk about English author, pseudo intellectual, and toxic influencer Douglas Murray. My dislike of him is personal, as I’ve witnessed first hand how his ‘highly educated’ opinion poisons people’s minds, especially Jewish people. The irony is that Douglas appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and castigated Joe for not featuring more pro-Israel voices on his show.
Douglas blasted Joe for hosting people that disagree with the way Israel is going about the war. He even questioned whether someone can have an opinion if they’ve never actually been to Israel. Well, I’ve been there a bunch of times, even during mass suicide bombings and the assassination of Yitzak Rabin. So can I have an opinion, a person that lived and worked in Israel?
On this particular point. Trump and Joe have been slightly at odds after Joe allowed him on his show a few days before the election in 2024. Trump in turn sent out a post praising Douglas Murray’s new book after the tense stand off between Joe and Douglas.
Funny how Trump has a lot to say about South Africa without ever visiting the country. What is even funnier is how Doug disapproves of platforming conspiracy theorists, yet said nothing about giving Trump free reign to spout his bullshit lies only days before the most consequential election in American, and probably world history.
It is this hypocrisy that drives me dilly. Anyway back to Douglas of the British Empire. He purports to be a historian, yet only focusses on one side of the story. Israel’s. Of course Holocaust denial and anti-semitism is profoundly wrong, but calling out Israel’s barbaric behavior is neither of these things.
To completely ignore Great Britain and later still, Western Democracies role in creating the chaos we see today, is disingenuous, dishonest, and disrespectful. He goes on and on about how Muslims immigrants are invading Europe, yet fails to address the root cause – THE WAR ON TERROR. First America and its allies bombed Iraq to pieces. Then an insurgency led to the emergence of ISIS during the chaotic Arab Spring. Obama destroyed Libya, failed to act against Assad in Syria, and as they say, the rest is history.
Apart from the atrocity of 9/11, has any Muslim country invaded a Western European Democracy? NO, no and no. So give me a fckng break.
Of course Israel has a right to protect and defend itself, but not by riding roughshod over International Law. The unfortunate truth is that they’ve been mollycoddled since the tragedy of the Holocaust, and have been allowed to make and break as they please.
As evidence of this fact, feel free to read today’s ‘fake news’.
WAR CRIME AFTER WAR CRIME: An Israeli air strike has destroyed part of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, the last functioning hospital in Gaza City. Witnesses said the strike destroyed the intensive care and surgery departments of the hospital.
Video posted online appeared to show huge flames and smoke rising after missiles hit a two-storey building. People, including some patients still in hospital beds, were filmed rushing away from the site. – BBC –
INSECURITY ZONE: Israel’s defence minister has announced its military will soon “vigorously” expand its offensive throughout most of Gaza. Israel Katz also said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had completed the takeover of a “security zone” in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, separating the cities of Rafah and Khan Younis.
Israel’s military also issued evacuation orders for Khan Younis and its surrounding areas, saying it was preparing to carry out strikes in response to the launch of projectiles from Gaza, which Hamas has claimed responsibility for.
Israel resumed its offensive against Hamas on 18 March following the collapse of a two-month ceasefire.
Since then, it has seized large areas of Gaza, displacing hundreds of thousands of Gazans once more.
The military has already seized land running along the entirety of the Palestinian territory’s borders, which it has characterised as a buffer zone to prevent attacks.
The takeover of the corridor effectively cuts the southern city of Rafah off from Khan Younis. Rafah makes up almost one fifth of Gaza.
Katz also warned that “IDF activity will soon expand vigorously to additional locations throughout most of Gaza” and people in these areas “will have to evacuate the fighting zones”.
“This is the last moment to remove Hamas and release the hostages, and bring about an end to the war,” he said.
He added that areas of northern Gaza, including the city of Beit Hanoun and in the Netzarim Corridor – which cuts through central Gaza – were also being evacuated so that a “security zone” could be expanded there too.
“In northern Gaza as well – in Beit Hanoun and other neighbourhoods – residents are evacuating, the area is being taken over and the security zone is being expanded, including in the Netzarim corridor,” Katz said. – BBC –
The crazy Evangelicals cheering for Armageddon is what you call a death cult. Don’t mask it in freedom and democracy, because MAGA and Project 2025 are neither. They are so extreme that their stupid religious ideology could literally cause the ‘End of the World’. Which they don’t necessarily view as a bad thing, that’s how dangerously out of touch they are.
