IMAGINE WE THE PEOPLE:

President Donald Trump threw a political grenade into his speech to U.S. troops at America’s largest base in the Middle East by teasing he may run for a third term as their commander in chief. Trump made a barnstorming appearance at the Al Udeid Air Base outside Doha, Qatar on Thursday as part of this three-country tour of the region. Before an audience of more than 1,000 soldiers, Trump first claimed that he had won the 2020 election, before going on to suggest a 2028 run.

‘We won three elections, OK? And some people want us to do a fourth. I don’t know. I’ll have to think about it,’ the president said. He then revealed the real reason he keeps bringing up the possibility of serving another term, and it involves merchandising.

‘The hottest hat is, it says “Trump 2028”. We’re driving the left crazy when you see that,’ Trump said to the crowd of troops which broke out into wild cheers. (Suspect journalism, wild cheers seems like a gross exaggeration). Last month, the official Trump store released a new ‘Trump 2028 Hat’ that sold out almost immediately in a sign of high MAGA demand for another term. Bright red with bold white lettering, the cap is on sale for $50.

‘The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with the Trump 2028 high crown hat,’ the product description for the hat states. ‘We have never seen such an incredible item,’ Eric Trump told the Daily Mail. ‘Sales are through the roof! It has been so popular the website almost crashed.’

The Constitution says that a president cannot serve more than two terms – an amendment that was added after Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected four times. However, some MAGA allies of the president have suggested at least one way around that. One plan would involve Trump becoming JD Vance’s running mate and then, after a successful 2028 election, Vance resigning and Trump taking over. – Nikki Schwab –

IMAGINE THERE’S NO CONSTITUTION: Imagine an American president standing in front of American soldiers and telling them that he won an election that he lost. Now imagine telling these same troops that he is seriously considering defying the Constitution by running for a third term.

Then imagine that the president lifts sanctions on a leader that had a $10 million bounty on his head as recently as December. A former jihadist that used to kill American soldiers.

After departing Qatar, the president then agrees to sell 500 000 state of the art AI chips to the UAE per year, something his predecessor went to great lengths to avoid. Why you may ask, so that the highly sought after chips couldn’t make their way to America’s biggest competitor in AI, China. The UAE is part of BRICS plus, the C stands for China.

The deal the president made will boost the UAE’s construction of data centres vital to developing artificial intelligence models. Now imagine how such an agreement would provoke national security concerns, the same concerns that would be raised if for example, a foreign government gifted a plane to be used by the imaginary president as Air Force One.

NOTHING TO KILL OR DIE FOR: The most disturbing element to the imaginary scenario outlined above is the blatant courting of American soldiers. The military only bows before the Constitution, their loyalty is not to a president. Trump has already inquired about Martial Law and just recently requested 20 000 National Guardsmen to be deployed to help Homeland Security round up illegal immigrants. Not at the border, but the interior.

47 just returned from the most autocratic countries on earth. He feels triumphant and emboldened. The economy has recovered after he suspended the disastrous tariffs and cutting a deal with China. Returning to a society with checks and balances on his power is a downer.

Nobody tells the Crown Prince what to do, so why should they tell the most powerful person in the world how to conduct himself. This megalomania will reach fever pitch on 14 June, both Trump’s birthday, and the 250 year anniversary of the founding of the United States military.

He is planning on bringing thousands of troops, tanks, helicopters, and loads of other military hardware to D.C. If ever there was a time to lockdown the Capitol, 14 June fits the bill. It would of course be an unprecedented move on the administrations part, something they won’t easily be able to come back from. All or nothing.

For it to be successful, everyone will have to be aligned. And judging from the response to the president’s deep seated and soulless corruption, all is not well on the home front.

“We don’t need ‘GRANDSTANDERS’ in the Republican Party. STOP TALKING, AND GET IT DONE!”

“Republicans MUST UNITE behind, ‘THE ONE, BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL!” DT posted this message earlier today.

Yet they didn’t unite. The OBBB failed to muster enough Republican votes. It’s not the end of the story, but it is a huge setback. The bill is the final piece of Trump’s despicable eat the poor to feed the rich Machiavellian plot. It will add trillions to the deficit in tax cuts for the uber wealthy and corporations. Neither Doge nor tariffs will make up this shortfall.

NO NEED FOR GREED OR HUNGER: One of the main reasons Trump will consider 2028 is because he wants to reap the benefits of his corruption. Why stop when he can just continue to milk the system. The danger is that a new administration could undo a lot of the unconstitutional bs he is being allowed to get away with. Why risk his loot?

I almost forgot. Putin didn’t show up for peace talks in Turkey, and now Trump says only a one-on-one meeting between them will resolve the conflict. Zelensky made the efffort, Putin got exactly what he wanted, more time to steal land and kill Ukrainians.

On a lighter note, former FBI director James Comey has been accused of treason and for inciting violence against Trump for posting a picture of the numbers 8647. MAGA and Homeland Security ICE Barbie says the number arrangement is slang for assassination. Yet Republicans even printed shirts with the numbers, 8646.

The number 86 actually comes from the hospitality industry to indicate that an item is no longer available. Removing Trump through political means is not the same as killing him. It is purposefully being blown out of proportion as a distraction from the plane saga, amongst tons of other dubious details they’d rather sweep under the purple carpet. Like Attorney General Pam Blondi selling between $1-5 million worth of shares just before Trumps Liberation Day announcement. Never mind the lack of movement regarding the Epstein Files.
