Donald Trump’s signature “big, beautiful” bill has passed. The bill was passed by a vote of 218-214. Voting has finished in the House of Representatives and only two Republicans voted against the bill. With the Republican Party majority, they could have afforded for three party members to hold out.

All Democratic Party members voted against the bill.

It will now go to Trump’s desk for signing into law, which he has indicated he will do tomorrow on the 4 July holiday.

I’m not gonna lie to you, my heart is aching. I will mourn for a moment out of respect for all of those people who will suffer the consequences. But once I dry my tears, trust me, it’s fucking war. We are going to need every ounce of energy to fight the christofascists and stop them from hurting even more innocent people. 

It will not be easy, it will require enormous sacrifice and heart, but luckily for us, We the People have plenty of heart, and We will not go gently into the good night. We will rage against the dying of the light until a new day is born, a New America we can be proud of.
