Billionaire Elon Musk asked his former ally and US President, Donald Trump, to just release the case files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as promised. The comments came after Trump urged his supporters to stop attacking his team members over files related to the late disgraced financier.
“Seriously. He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein. Just release the files as promised,” Musk said in a reply to a post on X.
MAGA devotees are in uproar, with some even calling for the burning of their iconic red caps as discontent simmers over the Epstein Files, shaking the core of Donald Trump’s support base.
The Justice Department’s recent statement that Jeffrey Epstein had no “client list” and the halting of further public disclosures has sparked outrage, particularly after Attorney General Pam Bondi’s earlier hints on Fox News raised expectations among conservative circles and conspiracy theorists.
This backlash comes amidst revelations of a Trump family member discussing signs of his “cognitive decline”.
Nick Fuentes, a contentious figure on the right, expressed his disillusionment on social media: “We need to burn our MAGA hats, I think that’s a solution. That’s the only language Trump will understand. He needs to be abandoned at this point.”
Trump’s judgement was questioned following his invitation to Fuentes, labelled a white supremacist, to dine at Mar-a-Lago as he prepares for the 2024 election campaign, reports the Mirror US.
Fuentes continued his tirade: “Now he’s going to tell us there’s no Esptein black book, no client list. The message needs to be this: ‘We’re done. We don’t understand. The radical right is f***ing furious. We are done.'”.
The MAGA hat, once a symbol of staunch support for Donald Trump, is now being set ablaze by disillusioned followers. One former supporter declared: “I’m burning my MAGA hat. I think other people should too.”
Another video, which we have opted not to show due to its offensive language, captures a man who voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020 incinerating his MAGA hats in frustration over the non-release of the Epstein files.
Despite the underwhelming first release, Bondi maintained that officials were examining a “truckload” of evidence from the FBI that had not been previously disclosed.
In a television interview in March, Bondi criticised the Biden administration, stating: “Sadly these people don’t believe in transparency, but I think more unfortunately, I think a lot of them don’t believe in honesty.” – The Express.
