Where to begin, just wow. What a week it’s been. On Monday deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino didn’t show up for work. FBI director Kash Patel sent out a tweet reaffirming his loyalty to the president above the people. Ghislaine Maxwell asked the Supreme Court for a retrial, and was opposed by DOJ lawyers pleading with the court to ignore Ghislaine. Her family put out a statement appealing directly to Trump, making him aware that the DOJ was blocking Ghislaine. Not that he wasn’t aware. Then the GOP committee in the House refused an amendment to release the Epstein Files, 7-5. Democrats persisted and eventually forced the issue, with Republicans going on record refusing to release the files. The final vote, 211-210. 

In the meantime Wired did some further analysis and discovered that the video the DOJ released, not only had a missing minute, but THREE missing minutes. They also found loads of embedded markers and other very suspicious behavior related to the editing of the ‘raw’ footage. Look it up, dodgy as all hell. Musk responded with a tweet about the lightning advances made in AI video generation.

Trump decided it was a fantastic idea to send a lengthy post about his ‘boys’ and ‘gals’, trying to rally the troops to move on from Epstein. How do you think he went about it? By blaming the Democrats for creating the Epstein hoax. When this strategy did not work, Trump decided to turn on MAGA by calling them stupid weaklings, and that he no longer wanted or needed their support. If you look out the window and see smoke rising on the horizon, that would be from all the MAGA hats going up in flames. 

To compound matters, Trump fired the daughter of the person he accused of creating the Epstein hoax on Wednesday. Maurene Comey was the main prosecutor of Epstein and Ghislaine, and her father is James 8647 Comey, former FBI director. 

“The president would not recommend a special prosecutor in the Epstein case. That’s how he feels,” Karoline Leavitt told reporters at a White House briefing on Thursday, adding that she was “not sure” if Trump had discussed appointing a special counsel with Attorney General Pam Bondi. The president dodged on Wednesday when asked if he’d consider appointing a special counsel to investigate the Epstein affair, telling CNN at the White House: “I have nothing to do with it.”

Then late yesterday stories started doing the rounds about a Wall Street Journal expose about a birthday letter Trump wrote to Epstein. Administration officials have been quoted as saying that Trump has been on a ‘F*****g Warpath’ to quash the story, and ‘why the f**k are they still talking about Epstein’? Then the story broke, and keep in mind that Rupert Fox Murdoch owns the WSJ. And now we get to ask the question, what is the wonderful secret? Trump was so freaked out by the article that he instructed Pam Blondi late last night to release very selective tits bits of nothing that will only make it worse, not better. Trump, the GOP, and Evangelical Christians are drowning in a swamp of quicksand of their own making. The more they resist and fight, the deeper they sink.
