This statement would be true if Donald Trump actually had a soul. What makes him such an extraordinarily interesting case study is the fact that he has no ideology or beliefs, other than to enrich himself. Now that he has achieved his goal of being reelected, he doesn’t have to worry about going to jail, and is free to truly be himself. Promises made, promises broken. What is playing out in Israel is the perfect example of Donald’s flakey personality. The only thing Netanyahu can offer Trump is religious zeal and to be praised as some divine messiah like figure. But this is not enough, the Saudis, Qatari’s, and Emiratis’ can offer him money, lots and lots of money. Donald’s love language.
Let’s do a short recap of how things have unfolded since Netanyahu’s last visit to the White House in early April. Firstly, Israel broke the cease fire agreement with Hamas, something that was in play since before Trump took office. Instead of sticking to the script, Israel decided to go rogue and relaunch their assault without freeing the rest of the hostages. They have stopped humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza since early March, and are preparing to attack the Strip as soon as Trump departs the Middle East in a few days time.
Netanyahu is toxic, and his government is toxic. Trump has purposefully avoided stopping in Israel, instead choosing to make deals at the expense, instead of the inclusion of Israel. He made a deal with Hamas behind Bibi’s back. He did the same with Iran and the Houthis. He is now considering offering to help Saudi Arabia start a civil nuclear program without the need to normalize relations with Israel. More than anything, Netanyahu wants to expand the Abraham Accords and receive the Kingdoms blessing as a legitimate regional player, not some rogue state. Unfortunately for Israel, Netanyahu has put his own political survival above the good of the country.
There is absolutely no way the Saudi’s will agree to normalizing relations as long as the Palestinians are being denied the right to exist. Netanyahu is adamant that the Two State Solution is dead, a big no no in the eyes of most nations. No peace with Palestine equals no peace with the Arab world.
PEGASUS: Now let’s look at the role former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz played in the break down of relations between America and Israel. In a nutshell, he was spying on behalf of Israel. The Administration will never admit this fact, even though he was caught red handed by a Reuters journalist. Waltz was photographed using an encrypted app made by the Israeli’s. Basically they had the ability to see every exchange Waltz had with Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio, JD Vance and other high level members of the cabinet. Added to this is the fact that he strategized with Netanyahu about attacking Iran without consulting Trump. Netanyahu has been trying to get America to bomb Iran for at least a decade. He even addressed Congress and scolded Obama for making a deal with Iran, something Trump broke, and is now desperately trying to repair.
Even though Trump made many promises to the Christian Zionist Neoconservatives, the base as represented by Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn’t want to be embroiled in another forever war with Iran. Let’s not kid ourselves, there is a heavy dose of antisemitism involved in this decision, which ironically will help the women and children of Gaza. Israel has gone beyond rogue, they are committing war crime after war crime, and Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal. So even though Trump is still giving them lots of deadly weaponry and not pressuring them to allow in humanitarian aid, he is angry with Netanyahu.
Bibi had the audacity to congratulate Biden after he won the previous election. Trump viewed this as a major betrayal after moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and handing Israel the disputed Golan Heights in his first term. He also orchestrated normalization with Arab nations through the Abraham Accords. So Trump feels he has given enough, and the spying scandal was just the excuse he needed to distance himself from Netanyahu.
HOLY LAND? If he was really as religious as some would like to portray him, he would never visit the Middle East without stopping in the ‘Holy Land’, yet here we are. Gone are the days of Trump Gaza, the stupidest idea in the long list of stupid ideas he comes up with. The latest being tariffs. Although he has now woken up to the fact that ‘it’s the economy stupid’. It’s always been about money and that’s why he is being hosted by the wealthiest Arab countries in the world. Trump likes shiny things and they have perfected the art of shiny things. He gave MBS a free pass for murdering the American Saudi journalist, a transaction that helped Jared Kushner solicit $2 billion in funding.
The Qatari’s have offered him a flying palace worth hundreds of millions and the Trump Organization will be building loads of new developments in the region, but not in Israel. To add insult to injury, Hamas just released the last American Israeli hostage, Edan Alexander, thereby creating a new hostage storm in Israel. Families want their loved ones to return home, something Netanyahu has failed to deliver. War won’t return them, it will be a death sentence instead. Needless to say, there is a lot going on and what seemed like a foregone conclusion, war with Iran, now all of a sudden looks a little bit less likely. Let’s not count our chickens before they hatch. Israel might decide to go for it regardless and thereby drag America into a quagmire.
Something rather strange is happening in America. A new poll has suggested that Republicans and young Evangelicals will be ok if Trump starts acting more firmly with Israel. This scenario was unthinkable even a year ago. Conservatives would have crucified Biden if he stood up to Netanyahu, a major reason he (Kamala) lost the election, not standing up for human rights. It’s all good and well protecting trans kids and people of color in America, but surely human rights are universal, not regional.
SWIMMING IN THE SWAMP: – President Donald Trump’s willingness to accept a $400 million ‘flying palace’ from Qatar has enraged yet another MAGA ally, with Ben Shapiro savaging the deal. Trump has repeatedly hit out at critics of the deal, which would see him accept an opulent Boeing 747 as a gift from the Qatari royal family to use as Air Force One for the remainder of his presidential term.

At the time, Trump was outraged and demanded she return any money accepted from places like Qatar, due to their human rights records.
Trump campaigned on a vow to ‘drain the swamp’, as well as a promise to be tough on Hamas and support Israel.
‘Taking sacks of goodies from people who support Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Jazeera, all the rest — that’s not America First,’ Shapiro said.
‘Is this good for President Trump? Is it good for his agenda? Is it good for draining the swamp and getting things done? The answer is no, it isn’t. It isn’t. If you want President Trump to succeed, this kind of “skeezy” stuff needs to stop.’
Shapiro warned Trump: ‘Taking jets from Qatar is not the way. Taking real estate deals from Qatar is not the way. The largest obstacle to any administration is scandal.
‘Scandal-plagued administrations have a really tough time gathering the political capital necessary to actually effectuate their agenda, and that’s why it’s unbelievably important that the Trump administration avoid scandal.
That is the reason I am worried about this stuff.’
