– 89 SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT:
‘The so-called nation-builders wrecked far more nations than they built — and the interventionists were intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand themselves.” Donald Trump May 2025, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Russia/Ukraine – Strike one. Israel/Iran – Strike two. America/China – Strike three. We are now two-thirds of the way to World War 3. This might sound hyperbolic and overly dramatic, but is it really? Taiwan is the next flashpoint.
The current regime is the worst possible option for Americans to have chosen to lead the world through these uncertain times. A White Christian Nationalist America is the poison, not the antidote.
Instead of multiculturalism they want monoculture. Instead of freedom, they want obedience. Instead of taking care of the earth, they are only interested in their bank balance. It is this shortsighted ignorance that is the greatest threat to the survival of our species. Religious ideology is the root of the problem, and the sooner people wake up to this fact, the better.
According to the Doomsday Clock, it is now 89 seconds to midnight. Israel’s actions over the weekend has most probably shaved off another few valuable seconds, in what is literally a race against the clock. I just watched an interview of Benjamin Netanyahu with Brett Baier on Fox News.
He would like Americans to believe that he is saving the world, when in fact it’s the exact opposite. The Iran narrative is just another version of the Iraq narrative, and the Libya narrative, and the Afghanistan narrative. My unsolicited advice, QUESTION THE NARRATIVE.
BOMBING EACH OTHER OUT OF EXISTENCE: ‘Before our eyes a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos; where it exports technology, not terrorism; and where people of different nations, religions, and creeds are building cities together, not bombing each other out of existence. We don’t want that,’ Donald Trump, Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, May.
On the campaign trail in 2024, Trump himself often promised to be a peacemaker and the conflict between Israel and Gaza, as well as Russia and Ukraine. During a rally in Washington, D.C. the day before he was sworn in for a second term this past January, Trump declared, ‘I will end the war in Ukraine, stop the chaos in the Middle East and prevent World War III from happening, and you have no idea how close we are.’
CRUSADER MENTALITY: In a post made to social platform X in May, Hegseth noted that the U.S. had their sights set on Iran over the nation’s backing of the Houthi rebels. ‘We know exactly what you are doing,’ Hegseth wrote at the time. ‘You know very well what the U.S. Military is capable of — and you were warned. You will pay the CONSEQUENCE at the time and place of our choosing.’
Hawkish Republicans cheered Trump’s decision to allow Israel to strike Iran earlier this week. They have been urging him to take more aggressive approach in the Middle East.
‘Game on,’ wrote Sen. Lindsey Graham on social media. ‘Pray for Israel.’
‘Donald Trump doesn’t mess around. Bombs away,’ cheered Rep. Randy Fine of Florida on social media after the attacks. Trump’s first Secretary of State and former CIA director Mike Pompeo appeared on Fox News on Friday morning, greeting hosts by noting it was ‘a very good morning’.
THEOLOGICAL THUGS: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed the truth about how closely the US and Israel are working together to stop Iran.
The revelation comes amid fears that Trump is being backed into a geopolitical corner by Israel after the president was forced to veto an assassination plot on Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, it emerged on Sunday.
Israel and Iran resumed ferocious shelling tonight as GOP hawks encouraged Israel’s onslaught, opening up a split with the MAGA branch of the party which fears America will become mired in another Middle East war.
Netanyahu’s remarks on the conflict came during an interview with FOX News on Sunday’s Special Report, just days after Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth warned all options were on the table as nuclear Armageddon fears mounted.
ISLAMIC ARMY: Iran is looking to form an ‘Islamic Army’ with several other countries in the Middle East as it continues to wage war with Israel.
Top Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee told Iranian state media that the regime wants to unite with ‘Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and several other countries’ to create an ‘Islamic army’ amid its ongoing conflict against the Jewish state.
There are fears the attacks between Israel and Iran, which entered their third day on Sunday night, risk escalating into a wider conflict across the region after the two countries continued to trade blows.
Pakistan has threatened to drop a nuclear warhead on Israel if Benjamin Netanyahu uses nuclear weapons against Iran, according to a top Iranian officer. General Mohsen Rezaee, a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a member of Iran’s National Security Council, said in an interview: ‘Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb.’
SPIRALING CHAOS: Pakistan and Israel are two of the nine countries that currently possess nuclear weapons, according to experts.
Rezaee claimed that Pakistan has vowed to ‘stand behind Iran’, and called on the Islamic world to unite against Israel. Today, Pakistan’s defence minister Khwaja Asif denied Rezaee’s claims, reportedly saying: ‘Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines; our nuclear capability is for our people’s benefit and defence against hostile designs.’
Last night, he noted that the world appears to be teetering on the edge of conflict as a result of the escalating attacks in the Middle East.
‘[The] Western world must worry about conflicts generated by Israel.
‘It will engulf the whole region and beyond; their patronage of Israel, a rogue state, can have catastrophic consequences.’
US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is heading towards the Middle East as the conflict between Israel and Iran spirals into all-out war.
Donald Trump earlier warned that Iran will experience ‘the full strength’ of the American military if it attacks the US amid the conflict with Israel, despite reports he had vetoed Israel’s plans to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader.
The US President warned Tehran that if ‘we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before’. BBC, DMail.
UPDATE – Monday 16/6: President Donald Trump does not intend to sign a joint statement calling for de-escalation between Israel and Iran that had been drafted by G7 leaders in Canada.
“Yeah,” Trump told CNN when asked if he’s seen any signals or messages from intermediaries that Iran wishes to de-escalate the conflict.
“They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before. I had 60 days, and they had 60 days, and on the 61st day, I said, ‘We don’t have a deal.’ They have to make a deal, and it’s painful for both parties, but I’d say Iran is not winning this war, and they should talk, and they should talk immediately, before it’s too late,” he said as he met with Carney.
Trump issued a two-month ultimatum this spring for Iran to strike a nuclear deal or face consequences. On Friday — day 61 — Israel launched unprecedented strikes on Iran, targeting its nuclear program and military leaders. – Calgary, Alberta, CNN.
