The beast forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, slave and free, to have a mark placed on their right hands or on their foreheads. No one could buy or sell without having this mark, that is, the beast’s name or number that stands for the name. This calls for wisdom. Whoever is intelligent can work out the meaning of the number of the beast, because the number stands for a human name. Its number is 666. Revelations 13; 16-18. 

More than any other verse in the Bible, it was the mention of the beast and number 666 that used to petrify me as a child. One day in the not too distant future, the world would go through a tumultuous period before the return of Jesus to save us from the Antichrist. For a kid, it was the stuff of nightmares. Blood and gore, fire and brimstone, famine and disease. 

Anyone familiar with the Covid vaccine conspiracy would have come across the connection made to the mark of the beast. 

“If there be any (Covid-19) vaccine that is the work of the devil meant to infuse 666 in the lives of the people, meant to corrupt their DNA…. may it be destroyed by fire”. 

The above quote wasn’t made on some anonymous 4Chan thread, but by the Chief Justice of South Africa, Mogoeng Mogoeng, December 2021. Jesus is the vaccine, televangelists cursing and spitting on the virus, microchips imbedded in peoples hands or foreheads so they could be controlled by 5G. Superstitious madness to the max. 

Conspiracy infused consciousness. 

Did the Illuminati plan the Black/Bubonic Plague, were they responsible for the Spanish Flu? As many as 500 million people were infected between 1918-1920, and between 20-100 million died. Pandemics happen, it’s a fact of life. The Plague killed almost 50 million Europeans (1346-1353), 50% of the entire population. 

For two thousand years the identity of the beast has remained hidden because people have latched on to the idea that it must be a name. Numerology is used to come up with a variety of names related to larger than life characters from history. Letters are given a numerical value, same as in the Jewish system of Gematria. 

Although interesting, this type of number system is rather arbitrary because of the huge range of languages found in the world. For instance Sanskrit, the sacred language of India consists of 56 letters, English – 26, Greek -24, Hebrew – 22, and what about Egyptian hieroglyphics? 

Number Mysticism on the other hand linked to Sacred Geometry and Stellar Theology provide a much clearer understanding of the number 666. Before providing the (an) answer to the riddle, it would be interesting to see what others think is the solution to this beastly conundrum. 

In numerology the name Nero Caesar works out to 666.
