THE ROOD OF LIGHT: Positioned directly above the high altar in the East of St Georges Cathedral, the sculpture of the crucifixion is mirrored in the Great West Window. Sunrise and Sunset. Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary found at the foot of the cross, are transformed into the dual aspects of the planet Venus as morning and evening stars. Jesus the Son, becomes the Sun. 

Understanding the relationship between Venus as mother and lover of the son/sun, helps us unlock the deepest mysteries hidden in the Bible. Only by comparing religious beliefs of multiple cultures, and in particular the ones that directly influenced both Judaism and Christianity, can we start making sense of the nonsense.
