US President Donald Trump has just issued a warning to Israel on his Truth Social platform. He says the country should not carry out strikes.
The US president writes: “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!”
The warning comes after Trump announced a truce between Iran and Israel, which came into effect early this morning. Israel said it had agreed to the proposal, while Iran said it would stop attacking if Israel did the same.
Israel’s military subsequently said it had intercepted a missile launched by Iran. Tehran denied fresh attacks. Trump uses expletive in warning to Iran and Israel.
This post contains strong language. More now from US President Donald Trump, who says he’s “not happy” with Israel.
“There was one rocket that I guess was fired overboard after the time limit and now Israel is going out. These guys [have] got to calm down,” he says, speaking to reporters before heading to the Nato summit in The Hague. He adds that he didn’t like “plenty of things” he saw yesterday.
“I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal,” he says referring to the ceasefire he announced earlier. “They didn’t have to unload.”
The president continues: “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.” BBC.
Make that three countries. Will Netanyahu disobey Trump again and blow up the ceasefire, we’ll have to wait and see? Maybe the penny is finally starting to drop that the regime change required is in Israel, Netanyahu is by far the greatest obstacle to peace.
Wrapping up the war in Gaza is next on the to do list, the moment Netanyahu has been dreading since October 7, 2023. Judgement Day is creeping ever closer. We’ve come back from the very brink of oblivion, time to remind Israel and the Christian Zionists that there is a limit to indulging their Apocalyptic Death Cult Delusions. Trump opened Pandora’s Box, will he now be able to close it? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
THE MOMENT OF TRUTH HAS ARRIVED: The Iran-Israel conflict has seen some dramatic developments in the past few hours. Here’s a quick summary:
At 06:08 BST, Donald Trump posted on social media that a ceasefire between Iran and Israel had come into effect.
Just over an hour later, Israel said it had agreed to the US ceasefire proposal, while Iran said earlier it would stop attacking if Israel did the same.
Then at 08:30, the Israeli military said it had identified missiles launched from Iran and intercepted them over northern Israel.
Iran has denied firing any missiles, but the IDF insists Israel will “respond with force”.
Before the truce began, both sides exchanged heavy fire overnight
Iranian state media say waves of missiles from Israel have hit the capital and other cities – at least nine people have been killed, including a nuclear scientist.
Some residents told BBC Persian they saw one of the “heaviest” barrages since the conflict began 12 days ago. In Israel, at least four people have been killed and 22 injured in Beersheba. BBC
Will Gaza be next? Yair Lapid, Israel’s opposition leader, said after Trump announced a ceasefire that “this was now the moment to close that front” in Gaza. “To bring the hostages home, to end the war. Israel needs to start rebuilding,” he said.
More than 55,000 people have been killed in Israel’s war against Hamas in the enclave, and dozens of Israeli hostages remain captured. “Those who can achieve a ceasefire with Iran can also end the war in Gaza,” the Hostages and Missing Families Forum added in a statement Tuesday.
ISRAEL FACING THE BRUNT OF TRUMP’S ANGER: I spend most of my days at the White House, and I’m often part of the press pool or travelling with President Donald Trump on his trips around the US. Rarely – if ever – have I seen him using the sort of language he used this morning.
Trump tends to reserve his angrier moments for Truth Social. He’s a man who likes to, at least publicly, keep the image of a cool, calculated dealmaker, and on the few occasions I’ve seen him snap in front of the media, it’s been at reporters for “stupid” or “ridiculous” questions.
His use of an expletive in front of the world’s cameras on the South Lawn of the White House are perhaps a sign of how frustrated he’s become with the two warring parties, with Israel seemingly – for now – facing the brunt of his anger. – Bernd Debusmann Jr Reporting from Washington DC
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: Trump, Netanyahu spoke by phone – reports. US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have spoken on the phone, according to reports from Israeli media and Axios.
We’ve just heard from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, which says Israel has struck a radar array near Tehran in response to “Iran’s violations” of the ceasefire.
In a statement, Netanyahu’s office says Iran fired one missile at Israel at 07:06 local time (05:06 BST) and two more at 10:25, after the ceasefire had come into effect.
The statement says Israel “refrained from further attacks” after the Israeli PM spoke with US President Donald Trump.
In the call, Trump “expressed his immense appreciation for Israel” which had “achieved all of its war goals”, the statement continues.
“The President also expressed his confidence in the stability of the ceasefire,” it adds. BBC
HOLLOW VICTORY: Senior Trump administration officials conceded they do not know the fate of Iran’s 880 pounds of near-bomb-grade uranium, which appears to have been moved ahead of the American airstrike.
‘We are going to work in the coming weeks to ensure that we do something with that fuel and that’s one of the things that we’re going to have conversations with the Iranians about,’ Vice President JD Vance told ABC’s This Week on Sunday.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme leader of Iran, claims he moved the country’s uranium stockpile to a secret location before President Donald Trump’s attack on three nuclear sites, Iranian state media reported.
And two Israeli officials told the New York Times that the Iranians, cognizant of Trump’s repeated threats of military action, removed the 880 pounds of uranium out of caution.
Maxar Technologies, a U.S. defense contractor headquartered in Colorado, released footage of 16 trucks leaving the Fordow nuclear site on Saturday night before the bombs fell. The trucks appeared to be transporting material out of the facility.
EXCEPTIONALLY FIRM AND DIRECT: Asked if he wants to see regime change in Iran, the president says: “No. If there was, there was, but no I don’t want it. I’d like to see everything calm down as quickly as possible.”
Trump adds: “Regime change takes chaos, and ideally we don’t want to see so much chaos.”

The BBC’s US partner CBS understands that Trump was “exceptionally firm and direct with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about what needed to happen to sustain the ceasefire,” during a call between the two leaders a little earlier.
“The prime minister understood the severity of the situation and the concerns President Trump expressed,” CBS reports.
As we’ve been telling you, Netanyahu’s office released a statement saying that Israel had “refrained from further attacks” after the PM spoke to Trump.
SOCIAL MEDIA DIPLOMACY: In most wars, ceasefires are negotiated, not announced on social media. So the pause in fighting between Israel and Iran is unusual, in so much that it was largely imposed by the United States.
It also means there is a lot that is unclear. What would be a violation of this ceasefire?
What would the penalty be? What would be considered a legitimate retaliation in such circumstances? James Landale – Diplomatic correspondent.
HISTORIC FAILURE: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described the ceasefire between Iran and Israel as a “historic victory”.
He says the “victory will be remembered for generations. We removed two immediate existential threats – a nuclear threat and a ballistic missile threat. If we had not acted, we would soon be facing the danger of annihilation.”
Netanyahu says that the IDF “eliminated Iran’s senior command”, including three chiefs of staff, nuclear scientists and other top officials.
Israel’s campaign also destroyed nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Natanz and Arak, the prime minister says.
He has also hailed US President Donald Trump’s involvement in the campaign.
“Our friend President Trump has stood by us in an unprecedented way – under his direction the US military destroyed the deep-earth enrichment site at Fordo,” Netanyahu says.
A leaked intelligence assessment claiming Donald Trump’s strikes on Iran did not destroy Tehran’s nuclear program is ‘flat-out wrong’, the White House has claimed.
The report, conducted by the Defense Intelligence Agency and leaked by CNN, claims Saturday’s airstrike on three Iranian nuclear sites only set the country’s program back by months instead of completely destroying it.
