The historical axis of Paris has been called, ‘the most beautiful avenue in the world’. The axis stretches for nine kilometers from the Louvre Museum in the east, all the way to the Grand Arche of La Defense in the west. Along its path one will find the Arc de Triomphe du Carousel, the Luxor obelisk at the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysees Grand Boulevard, the world famous Arc de Triomphe de l’Etoile, and finally the Grand Arche of La Defense.
The Axis was created as far back as 1667 by Andre le Norte, and took hundreds of years to complete. Many of the most important historical sites linked to the Church, Monarchy, French Revolution, Napoleon, and the French Republics can be found along this alignment.
As you can see, the start of the Axis in the east at the Louvre Museum is out of alignment with the main Axis, a fact hidden by the placement of the Arc de Triomphe du Carousel. Many authors and researchers have tried to unlock this mystery, the most famous being international bestselling authors, Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval. They proposed an interesting theory in their book Talisman, for the reasoning behind the alignment.
They believe Paris was aligned to the helical rising of Sirius to mark the conception of Louis the Sun King. They also propose that the sunset alignment was done to coincide with the Transfiguration of Christ on 6 August. Due to the seasons and the movement of the sun from solstice to solstice, every alignment has two sunset and two sunrise dates, four possibilities in total.
In the next post I will unpack the story in more detail and provide a different perspective, and also the reason I think they are incorrect in both instances. Discovering the alignments of major boulevards in cities across the world is an incredibly satisfying undertaking. It is not a perfect science, but fun nonetheless.
CONFIRMATION BIAS – QUESTION THE NARRATIVE: Bestselling authors Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval, theorizes in their book Talisman, that Paris is aligned to the sunset of 6 August. They are also of the opinion that the city was aligned to the helical rising of Sirius in the 17th century.
Let’s start with the Transfiguration. It is clear to see from the maps of Paris below that the Axe Historique is a closer alignment to 10 August than the 6th. Left 10 – right 6. Not to be overly critical, but that’s not how research works. Things either align, or they don’t. Projecting our personal opinions onto a topic under discussion does not change the situation. It would obviously be great if things were as we wished them to be, unfortunately life is not interested in our wishes. The only way to find the answer is if people in Paris actually pay attention over the next few days and record what they see.
As already mentioned in the previous post, each alignment has two sunset and two sunrise dates due to the movement of the sun from solstice to solstice. In order to understand a city and its potential alignments, one needs to study the history and culture of the people. In particular the Catholic Calendar of Saints. France is known as the eldest daughter of the church.
For example 10 August is the feast of Saint Lawrence, the archdeacon of Rome in the 3rd century. He was martyred for refusing to divulge their secrets and to hand over both the treasures and documents of the early church to the emperor. Now in this story we find a clue. Secrets.
Let us turn to the theory of the eastern alignment towards the helical rising of Sirius to mark the conception, not even the birth, of Louis XIV, the Sun King (1638-1715). Louis ruled for 72 years, the longest in European history. I have spoken of the importance of Sirius in relation to Isis and Mary Magdalene, so their theory would bolster mine. Yet, it made me question the narrative and start my own research on the topic of alignments.
Louis was despised by the French and ultimately set the stage for the French Revolution. A firm believer and enforcer of the Divine Rights of Kings, a theory that even superseded the authority of the Pope and Emperor, he was an Absolutist that only took authority from God.
And now we get to the crux of the matter, the Knights Templar. The King of France and the Pope turned on the Templars at the start of the 14th century, torturing and burning many in the name of God. This betrayal was never forgiven or forgotten as the French kings and Catholic church were viewed as usurpers. It took almost 500 years for the Knights to avenge their unholy persecution, the French Revolution and introduction of human rights, as opposed to the divine rights of kings.
The sunrise alignment of Paris directly connects to the Templars, and forms part of the Templar Magdalene Triangle, a profound series of alignments that was woven into the fabric of both Paris and Versailles. These alignments tell a story and directly connect the Templars to Mary Magdalene. Many believe they were the guardians of the Magdalene bloodline, in possession of earth shattering knowledge, treasure, scrolls, or even relics that would bring the church to its knees if ever unveiled.
What did the Knights Templars discover in Jerusalem during the Crusades? And why were they persecuted by the King and Pope?
