4:20

April 20, 2025

4:20: – Today, Easter Sunday, is truly a day of many faces. A very rare alignment of the Julian and Gregorian calendars allow for the Resurrection of Christ to be celebrated by Eastern and Western Christians on the same day. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean Russians and Ukrainians will stop killing each other, regardless of Putin’s fake truce. Trump wanted 30 days, Putin offered him 30 hours, and even this short period of time over such an important Holy festival is not being respected.

Easter is also directly connected to the Easter Bunny and Eostre, an ancient Pagan goddess and fertility festival. Have you ever heard the saying, to f… like rabbits? The White Rabbit of Alice in Wonderland was used in the Matrix to create a modern day mythology associated with freedom from control. This is particularly relevant as AI enters our lives at such a crucial time in our collective journey. No Kings No Tyrants.

4:20 – International Weed Day doesn’t often have to share the spotlight with Jesus and the White Rabbit, but this year is different, adding to the craziness that abounds. In Weed We Trust.

Let’s add one last twist to the tale. 20 April 1889 is Adolf Hitler’s birthday. I didn’t want to spoil the party by adding a picture of AH to the collage, so I’ll mention one of his paintings. Hitler was an accomplished painter, just look at his painting of Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria, or of Mary and the Holy Child. Imagine how much different the world would have been if he chose to be an artist instead of a mass murderer.

One bit of very good news is that the Pentagon and Homeland Security are unlikely to recommend that Trump invokes the Insurrection Act. 4:20 is the 90 day deadline. Things are not going according to plan as the pushback is fiercer than expected. I have hope for America, they won’t just roll over and allow some rogue petty tyrant to take away 250 years of hard earned freedoms. The Rebel Alliance is growing stronger ever day.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: – Fighting is still being reported tonight along parts of the Ukraine-Russia frontline, despite Vladimir Putin’s surprise call for a 30-hour truce. Easter celebrations across Ukraine were disrupted earlier today when Russia’s president suddenly announced a ceasefire until 22:00 BST tomorrow (midnight in Moscow).

Ukraine’s leader responded by saying he would “mirror” Russia’s move, but then challenged Putin to agree to a longer ceasefire to “give peace a chance”. Our Russia editor says Putin may be using the truce to show America that Russia is open to ending the war, but Ukrainians say they do not trust Putin’s promises.

As we’ve been reporting, today’s truce is linked to Easter.

Right now, both Russia and Ukraine are holding midnight Easter services.
It’s unusual for this to happen, as this year Easter falls on the same day for both Orthodox and Western churches. This is due to a rare alignment of the Julian and Gregorian calendars, which are used by each church.

Ukraine had traditionally followed the Julian calendar, like Russia. But in a move away from Russia, Volodymyr Zelensky changed the law in July 2023. The Ukrainian president said this change allowed Ukrainians to “abandon the Russian heritage”. – BBC – 19/4

TRUSTING THE DEVIL: Current time – We’re hearing mixed reactions about Putin’s 30-hour truce from Ukrainians attending Easter morning service in Kyiv and the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk.

“Trusting Putin’s words is like trusting the devil,” Oleksandra Semeniak tells the Reuters news agency. “Today it is better to trust God and keep faith in better times.”

“I do not think this man [Putin] has anything to do with humanity,” says 45-year-old lawyer Olena Poprych, who adds she believes the ceasefire is “a prerequisite for something bad”.

Meanwhile in Donetsk, where much of the city has been under Russian control since 2014, residents are expressing similar distrust that Zelensky will stick to the terms of the ceasefire.

“To be honest, I don’t have hopes on the Ukrainian side, they have deceived us so many times, I do not trust them,” one local worshipper, identified only as Olga, tells Reuters.

“I watched very closely his [Zelensky’s] reactions,” says Vladimir, who also attended Easter morning service in Donetsk. “There was nothing about the ceasefire…just some vague statements, not giving any confidence that we will not be shelled.”

EASTER FARCE: Accusations fly as ‘Easter truce’ passes halfway stage.

Throughout the morning we’ve been reporting on developments in Russia and Ukraine after a truce announced by Putin came into effect yesterday.

Over halfway through the 30-hour ceasefire, both countries have accused the other of not abiding by it. Here’s the latest:

Russia and Ukraine have claimed fighting continued overnight – each accusing the other of drone strikes and shelling.

Zelensky said Ukraine would “continue to act in a mirror manner” to Russia while alluding to the truce as a possible “PR” exercise – adding that shelling and drone activity had intensified in recent hours.

Separately, Russian media cited accusations from the Ministry of Defence that Ukraine had shot at their positions and launched drone attacks hundreds of times overnight and into this morning.

Easter celebrations have been taking place on the rare occasion that Easter Sunday has fallen on the same day on the Julian and Western calendars

Ukrainians attending Easter services told the Reuters news agency they do not trust Putin’s intentions. The truce will come to an end at midnight local time tonight (22:00 BST) – Ukraine wants an extension but Russia has given no indication there will be one. – BBC – 20/4
