I’m still processing what happened yesterday. Pete Hegseth and the DoD sent out a tweet commemorating the 250 year anniversary of the United States military and National Flag Day, wait for it, by including the Russian flag in the tweet. The White, Blue and Red flags on either side of the stars are literally the flag of Russia. See what I mean, it’s difficult to compute. Below is the message and you can look at the image included. No fakery, no AI, no photoshop, for real. 🇷🇺🇺🇸🇷🇺
– Department of Defense 🇺🇸 @DeptofDefense Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸 Let us honor the emblem of our nation and the stars and stripes that unite us all. As we display our nations flag and reflect on the values it represents, let’s celebrate the freedom, courage and resilience that makes our country great. –
As you can see from the half empty stands, Donny’s parade was a damp squib. MAGA didn’t turn up, probably because many of them secretly joined the No Kings protests, buyers remorse and all of that. Millions of Americans showed up across the country to defy the wannabe king and his cabinet of fools. Tens of thousands, if that, showed up for the military parade and to celebrate the naked emperors birthday.
What could have, and should have been a memorable day honoring the brave soldiers of the military, was ruined because of the circumstances surrounding the president’s grossly inflated ego. He made a huge mistake by deploying the National Guard against the express wishes of California. He overplayed his hand. Now governor Newson has given the Democrats a voice, and to make it even worse, Kristi Noem was stupid enough to arrest a Californian Senator.
NATURAL REBORN KILLER: To add insult to injury, Israel, supposedly America’s biggest ally was being mercilessly pummeled by Iranian rockets, drones, and missiles while the parade was underway. This is not necessarily Donald’s fault as Netanyahu made the rash decision to attack Iran the day before the day. America and Iran was supposed to have their sixth round of talks today, something that is now off the table. Putin phoned Trump and expressed his unhappiness with Israel’s behavior, as did Erdogan. The Turkish president rightly told Trump that only diplomacy will solve this ever growing catastrophe.
The Saudi Crown Prince was equally as annoyed, as MBS knows that Iran could inflict severe damage on the Kingdom. Netanyahu is now trying to involve America, the U.K. and France to help him manage the unmanageable. This comes after both America and Israel have done their utmost best to isolate their allies, whether through tariffs, or the continued bombing of Gaza and humanitarian disaster being inflicted upon the Palestinian people’s.
In case it couldn’t get any worse, a crazy hyper evangelical reborn MAGA madman assassinated two Democrats in Minnesota and seriously wounded two others. He had a list of 70 names, mainly of Democrats he intended to kill. Only by a stroke of good fortune was he stopped, although he is still on the loose. I’ll address the tragedy in a separate post.
ENLISTMENT OATH. There were many aspects of the parade that was hard to stomach, but for me personally, I found the reenlistment ceremony the most dangerous and troubling. A group of soldiers stood in front of the podium as DT, the Commander in Chief read out the Enlistment Oath. He focused specifically on the words, all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, and of course, THAT I WILL OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE ORDERS OF THE OFFICERS APPOINTED OVER ME.
That means if Pete Hegseth orders soldiers to shoot insurrectionists, their false description of protesters, they will and must obey his command. Defending the Constitution should be the main focus, not the unlawful orders of a rogue wannabe madman dictator king.
Enlistment Oath.— Each person enlisting in an armed force shall take the following oath:
I, (state name of enlistee), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. (So help me God).
Something else that annoyed me was seeing advertisements for Palantir, UFC, and a dodgy crypto fraud company. The Army doesn’t require any business sponsorships, the American tax payer foots the bill.
KRASNOV STRIKES AGAIN – G7 – Canada – 16/6: Given US influence over Israel, Trump’s fellow leaders want a clearer picture of how long the US intends to allow the conflict to continue, or whether Trump plans to apply pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to de-escalate, the officials said.
Already, a difference has emerged between Trump and Macron over a role for Russian President Vladimir Putin to play in mediating the conflict.
After a phone call with Putin this weekend, Trump said Sunday he believed the Russian leader could act as a mediator. But Macron dismissed the idea during a visit to Greenland, saying Moscow’s own violation of the UN Charter in Ukraine disqualified it from acting as a peace broker.
The two men’s differences over Putin were on full display Monday during Trump’s first public appearance at the G7, where he criticized of the bloc for ejecting Russia eleven years ago.
It was a combative opening to the president’s outing in Canada, where he will meet with fellow leaders for the next two days on a wide range of subjects.
“Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn’t want to have Russia in. And I would say that that was a mistake, because I think you wouldn’t have a war right now if you had Russia in,” Trump said during his meeting with Carney.
Russia was removed from the then-G8 after annexing Crimea in 2014. Justin Trudeau, whom Trump criticized repeatedly Monday for deciding to omit Russia, became prime minister a year later.
“They threw Russia out, which I claimed was a very big mistake, even though I wasn’t in politics,” Trump said. He said not having Putin at the table “makes life more complicated.”
When later asked about Putin joining, he said, “I’m not saying he should at this point, because too much water has gone over the dam.” By Kevin Liptak, CNN
